The 860 V15 is not about forcing your foot into a rigid support shoe. It is about checking whether a more guided platform helps you move more comfortably.
That is where GAIT analysis can be useful. If your foot tends to roll inward, or if neutral shoes have felt unstable over longer runs, we can look at how you move and see whether the Stability Plane in the 860 V15 makes sense.
Width also deserves attention here. A supportive shoe can still feel wrong if it squeezes through the forefoot or lets the heel shift around. Here at Smiths, we can compare the available widths and make sure the support is coming from the shoe, not from simply over-tightening the laces.
Bring in your current runners if you have them. The wear pattern often gives us a quick clue about whether the 860 V15 is worth trying against a neutral New Balance model.
